The current surfacing was wet pour which was splitting and shrinking in places and children had started picking at the crumbs and this began to create large holes in the surface. Once this happens the surfacing is unsafe and will only get worse. The surfacing was adjacent to a pathway so the in-house experienced installers had to cut some wet pour from the edge and create a concrete hunching. This enables our pinning to the edge of the pathway. Where the wet pour had been vandalised, we infilled with own shock pad material and laid a membrane across the entire area.

The scheme design was a variety of three shaded blue tiles in a mottled effect with some grey tiles. The result was very transformational with no requirement for expensive groundwork or wastage costs to remove the existing surface.
